Rhode Island College students forced to evacuate during dorm fire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE): Students inside a dorm at Rhode Island College were forced to evacuate during a fire that broke out on Saturday afternoon.
“We found on the third floor there was a fire in the bathroom that spread to two adjoining dorm rooms,” according to Deputy Chief Steve Cappracotta.
The Deputy Chief said all students inside the David E. Sweet Residential Hall made it out safely, with the help of college security.
“You go to be careful with electric things and candles,” Cappracotta said.
The Fire Department is still investigating the cause but there were no injuries.
