Rhode Island Division of Taxation to hold first Tax Compliance Day to assist taxpayers
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Division of Taxation has a new event to help you wade through all the paperwork and wait times that can come with complex tax questions.
The agency will host its first ever Tax Compliance Day on Wednesday.
Representatives from several local and federal agencies will all be in one place to help taxpayers handle multiple tasks in one visit.
Tax administrator Neena Savage says providing access to a wide range of in-person assistance will help streamline taxpayers processes.
Taxpayers can seek help with a variety of services, including letters of good standing, notarial needs, registration block remove and much more.
If you have a complex tax issue and would like to attend the one-stop-shop tax event, it’s happening from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Rhode Island College.
Registration is free and recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
