Rhode Island DUI crackdown on New Year’s Eve

PROVIDENCE, R.I. —Many will be ringing in the New Year Saturday night, and police want to make sure those celebrating get home safe.

Officers across the Rhode Island will be cracking down on drunk drivers.

Members of the Rhode Island DUI Task Force will be announcing safety plans Friday morning.

Last week, police made four DUI arrests in just one night leading up to Christmas.
