Rhode Island Folk Festival coming to Crescent Park in August

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Folk Festival will kick off at Crescent Park in East Providence on August 25, featuring over 40 musical acts across three stages.

This free festival will run from noon to 6 p.m., and will offer acts in the folk, rock, acoustic and Americana genres including Tom Rush, Michelle Malone, Mark Cutler and dozens more.

There will also be a kid’s tent, food trucks and craft vendors.

“We are looking forward to another beautiful day at Crescent Park in East Providence. Join us for diverse music, delicious food, and great folks,” says Bandshell Stage co-host and performer Lisa Couto.

There will be a fundraiser for the festival on June 22 at Crook Point Brewery in East Providence from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
