Rhode Island gas prices up to start July

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gas prices in Rhode Island have gone up for the first time in nearly two months, according to AAA Northeast.
The average price of a gallon of gasoline went up five cents over last week’s average of $3.38, and is seven cents lower than a month ago, and eight cents lower than this time last year.
AAA attributes the rise in price to the dismissal of school for the summer and the beginning of summer driving season.
