The memorial commemorates the more than six million Jews killed during the Holocaust and is a tribute to those who survived.
“The Holocaust survivors have long wanted a monument they could come to and reflect upon. We’ve achieved that,” said Sharon Gaines, Board Chair, Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island.
The project is more than ten years in the making.
“It’s truly been a labor of love by many, many people in our community for this day to actually come,” said Jeff Savit, President & CEO, Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island.
