Rhode Island Hospital in partial lockdown after employee threatened

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Lifespan said that Rhode Island Hospital is in partial lockdown after an individual threatened an employee Friday.

Lifespan said that the individual was escorted off the property and staff remain in “constant contact” with police.

“Any assault to a healthcare worker is a felony and we will pursue the offense to the fullest extent of the law,” a statement read.

Security is also on scene.
