Rhode Island leaders invited to the White House

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Several leaders of Rhode Island have been invited to speak at the White House on Wednesday.

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Louis DiPalma, West Warwick Public Schools Superintendent Karen Tarasevich, and CEO of Crossroads Rhode Island Karen Santilli, have all been invited to speak at a meeting in Washington, D.C.

The “Communities In Action” meeting features community leaders and changemakers from Rhode Island and Connecticut by discussing how key investments and programs are improving the states and its communities.

Some topics of discussion will include the housing crisis, investments made in West Warwick school systems, Rhode Island’s road and bridge infrastructure, rising costs of prescription drugs, and how the state supports economic development and innovation.
