Rhode Island, Massachusetts Girl Scouts attend UN Commission on the Status of Women

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Four Girl Scouts from Southeastern New England attended the 68th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York City in March.

These Girl Scouts were selected for exhibiting close relation and understanding of CSW themes to the UN.

After a round of interviews and application process, Olivia D’Ambra, of Providence, Lily James, Wrentham, Sonam Ngamdung, Middletown and Amelia Riveire, Tiverton were chosen as delegates.

The CSW is dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women and is instrumental in promoting women’s rights.
