Rhode Island National Guard unit returning from Kosovo
QUONSET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island National Guard 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation will return from Kosovo on Feb. 17.
The unit will be returning to the Quonset Air National Guard Base after a 10 month deployment as part of the Kosovo Force mission.
The National Guard said the unit assisted in the rescue of two Swiss tourists who were stranded on a mountain in Albania in January.
The unit received valentines from Valentines for Veterans on Valentine’s Day.
