Rhode Island officials honor Veterans Day

BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island officials are celebrating Veteran Day with a number of ceremonies.

Gov. Dan McKee hosted Veteran’s Day Ceremony at the Rhode Island Veteran’s Home Saturday.

The event will feature members of the state’s congressional delegation, including Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse as well as Congressman-elect Gabe Amo, as well as military officers and other dignitaries.

McKee also attended the Veterans Lodge Associates breakfast in the morning.

Sen. Reed attended the Bishop Hendricken High School’s Veterans Day breakfast.

In Cranston, a parade was held honoring veterans.
