Rhode Island Sheriff arrested for allegedly filming outside Starbucks bathroom in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that a Rhode Island Sheriff was arrested on Sept. 16 for “suspicious activity” outside the women’s bathroom at the Starbucks on Chestnut Street.

34-year-old Jeffery Cahoon was charged with disorderly conduct.

Police said that Cahoon was allegedly observed “ positioned near the women’s restroom in a manner consistent with recording activity.”

Cahoon was placed on administrative leave and was under investigation.
