Rhode Island SPCA rescues 11 dogs from Pawtucket home
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals rescued 11 dogs from a house in Pawtucket Tuesday.
According to the RISPCA, two calls were made over the weekend reporting concerns about the dogs’ care.
An ABC 6 News crew saw SPCA agents and police officers take blocky-headed dogs from a house on Don Court at about 1 p.m.
Officials said the owner of the dogs had the intention of illegally breeding the dogs in their garage.
Some agents evaluated a dog on the sidewalk as others continued to search the garage.
The dogs are currently being evaluated by the RISPCA and other agencies.
