Rhode Island State Police arrest drunk wrong way driver
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island State Police said they arrested a wrong way driver in the early morning hours Sunday.
Police said they received multiple 911 calls reporting a vehicle traveling southbound on Route 95 North in Pawtucket.
They were able to stop the vehicle in the construction area near the Smith Street overpass.
Joey Fugere, the driver, then failed all field sobriety tests he was given and was subsequently arrested.
Fugere, who is 49-years-old, was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving. He was later arraigned and released.
