Rhode Island State police investigating a hit and run

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – Police are currently investigating a hit and run that occurred on I-95 south early Sunday morning. 

Police say a driver involved in the accident fled the scene. 

According to police, the incident caused another driver to lose control of their vehicle and hit a light post on the highway, knocking it over. 

Cause of the initial crash is still under investigation.
