Rhode Island State Police launch toy drive, fundraiser ahead of Christmas

SCITUATE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police, the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office, and other local law enforcement agencies launched Kids, Cops and Christmas 2023 on Friday.
The toy drive and fundraiser will run from Nov. 24 until Dec. 18.
New and unwrapped gifts and gift cards under $25 are recommended and will be gifted to children of different ages. New undergarments, socks, coats, hats, scarves, or mittens in infant to teen sizes are also recommended.
Donations can be dropped of at any Rhode Island State Police Barracks, any Cardi’s Furniture and Mattress location, or any Ocean State Job lot store in the state.
Gifts can also be taken to “Santa at the Museum,” a free event on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rhode Island State Police Museum.
The Rhode Island State Police Museum Foundation is also accepting cash donations for the toy drive and fundraiser.
