Rhode Island sues Google over data breach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The State of Rhode Island filed a lawsuit against Google Tuesday over the company’s massive data breach.

It was discovered earlier this year that Google hid a massive privacy breach that compromised the personal information of more than 52 million users. 

State Treasurer Seth Magaziner said the Rhode Island Pension Fund has filed a motion to lead a class action lawsuit against the company.
