Rhode Island veterans can enjoy free fly fishing experience this weekend
RICHMOND, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island veterans can go on a relaxing fly fishing trip for free on Saturday.
The Providence Vet Center and the state Department of Environmental Management will host fly fishing sessions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carolina Trout Hatchery on Old Richmond Townhouse Road in the Carolina section of Richmond.
Veterans can fish while immersed in nature. Lessons and equipment will be provided.
The Rhode Island VFW Auxiliary will offer a free lunch.
