Rhode Islanders almost out of time to register for special elections

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Secretary of State Gregg Amore and the Rhode Island Department of State Elections Division reminded eligible voters on Friday of the registration deadline for the special elections this fall.

The Nov. 7 special elections are for 1st Congressional District, State Senate District 1, and local referenda questions.

Rhode Islanders have until Sunday to register to vote to participate in the special elections.

The process can be done online or by the local board of canvasser’s office.
