Rhode Islanders can now check status of license, car registration online

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Islanders can now check the status of their driver’s license or car registration online.

The Division of Motor Vehicles on Tuesday launched the online portal, which provides customers with information about whether their license and registration are suspended, expired, or blocked.

A reason for a status will be provided.

“We’re really excited about the launch of the online customer portal as the latest improvement in our customer service efforts,” said Walter “Bud” Craddock, DMV administrator.
