Rhythm and Roots Festival returns to Charlestown

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhythm and Roots Festival returned to Ninigret Park in Charlestown.
The music festival featured 30 acts performing on three stages, food and craft vendors, and on-site camping throughout the weekend.
“The concept was, it’s music, it’s roots music,” Goodworks Entertainment CEO Tyler Grill said. “It’s rhythm, it’s dance, it’s a vibe.”
Grill said the festival was founded by Chuck Wentworth 26 years ago and his family helped run the festival ever since.
Wentworth died recently, and Grill said the festival is a way to remember him.
“This year is a big celebration of his life,” he said.
Grill added that around 15,000 people attended the festival, with 1,500 camping the entire weekend.
