RI Senate to hold hearing on appointment of RIDOH Director

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Senate Health and Human Services Committee will be holding a hearing on Governor McKee’s appointment of Dr. Jerome M. Larkin as the director of the Department of Health.
Governor McKee announced the nomination of Dr. Jerome M. Larkin as the RIDOH Director last Friday.
“Dr. Larkin is a proven leader in the medical field and his experience will be a vital asset to our team and to the people of Rhode Island,” said Governor McKee through a press release.
Dr. Larkin currently works as an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He received his medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his undergraduate degree at Boston College.
Today’s hearing is scheduled for 3pm in the Senate Lounge at the State House.
