RI State Police & RI Attorney General have closed St. George’s School investigation

No. Scituate, RI – The Rhode Island State Police and the RI Attorney General have closed the St. George’s School investigation regarding allegations of sexual assault and sexual misconduct by former faculty and students.
The investigation focused on allegations of sexual assault and sexual misconduct by seven former faculty members, one current employee and three former students at the school.
The State Police began their investigation in 2015, with allegations dating back as early as 1970. The investigation concluded that the prosecution of any allegations would be time barred by the three year statute of limitations that existed for the specific crime.
