RI senator creates fake facebook page mocking representative

A fake facebook page created by a Rhode Island state senator mocking a state representative led to a criminal complaint.
The facebook page says it belongs to Democratic state Rep. Scott Guthrie from Coventry but it was actually created by Republican state senator Nick Kettle.
The page attacks Guthrie calling him the terror of the Ocean state, saying he's to blame for the Central Coventry fire district fiasco.
Guthrie discovered the page in December and filed a complaint with Coventry police.
Police traced the fake page back to Senator Kettle after finding out that kettle used a computer at his father's house to create the facebook page.
The investigation found that Kettle didn't violate any laws by making the fake page.
Representative Guthrie has asked facebook to take the page down but as of Tuesday night it is still up and running.
