Rhode Island College wants its freshmen to decide on a major their first year in school

The college announced it’s eliminated “Undeclared” as a major for incoming freshmen.

The reason? School administrators think it will help students in school and boost graduation rates.

RIC has a new program called ‘Exploring Majors’ to help with the decision.

According to the school, students who declare majors are more likely to stay in school and graduate in four years.
