RIC returning donation from Gordon Fox

Former House Speaker Gordon Fox’s alma-mater, Rhode Island College, is trying to return a donation he made to the college.

This decision comes following his guilty plea to multiple federal crimes last week.

The $55,285.42 donation was made last May shortly after Fox resigned from office, according to RIC spokesperson, Laura Hart.

Rhode Island College is also looking at stripping Fox of an honorary doctorate degree that gave him back in 2012.
