Close friends remember a Rhode Island College student who died after a tragic accident this week.

22–year–old Ashley Signoriello of Cranston had it all an infectious laugh, many great friends, and an athletic ability like no other…

Ashley was a star lacrosse, volleyball and basketball player at Cranston West and later on at RIC and was close to fulfilling her one and only dream of becoming a teacher.

That dream suddenly came crashing down on December 5th. She was zip lining at a friends home in East Greenwich when the cord snapped sending her 15 feet to the ground.

“She snapped her neck and from that she was going to paralyzed, “ says friend Danielle Duffy.

Ashley never recovered. She passed away from her injuries on Monday. Instead of celebrating her graduation this month and a milestone with her longtime boyfriend.

“They were getting a home and he was going to propose, “ says Jana Schnell.

Friends and family are saying goodbye to someone who died too soon and although she only lived 22 short years the impact she made on and off the field on many will never be forgotten.

Ashley will be laid to rest this weekend.
