RIC video voyeurism suspect makes no plea in Providence District Court

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Rhode Island College employee has been charged with video voyeurism, a felony, after a hidden camera was discovered in a campus restroom.

49-year-old Dean Faiola of Cranston, a kitchen staff member at Rhode Island College who’s since been suspended, was arrested on Tuesday at his home.

Faiola appeared in district court Wednesday morning for his arraignment, where he did not make a plea.

Since his arrest, Faiola has been suspended by RIC and issued a no trespass order from campus.

Providence police continue to investigate exactly what happened, and have said that additional charges may follow.

Faiola’s next court date is May 28th and he was released today.
