Rideshare drivers rally at Rhode Island State House

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rideshare drivers with Uber and Lyft are rallying at the State House Thursday in observance of International Workers Day.

One rideshare driver at Thursday’s rally said she’s worked as a driver since 2016, and since then, as prices go up, wages aren’t going above minimum wage.

The rally is being led by the Independent Drivers Guild which claims to represent more than 300,000 rideshare drivers.
