RIDOH lifts water boil advisory for Greenville Water District customers
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health announced the water boil advisory put in place for Greenville Water District customers was removed.
Back on July 6, the precautionary advisory was put in place after a water main break raised concerns about elevated bacteria levels and a loss of pressure.
The Greenville Water District said it repaired the water main, temporarily increased chlorine in the system, flushed the water mains, and collected bacteria samples that showed the absence of bacteria.
