RIDOH recommends closing of several beaches due to high bacteria counts
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health on Tuesday recommended the closing of several beaches due to high bacteria counts.
Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth, Warren Town Beach, Community Service Pond in Scituate and Briar Point Beach in Coventry were all recommended to be closed until further notice.
RIDOH said they will continue to monitor and review water quality through Labor Day.
