RIDOH recommends closing swimming area at Oakland Beach in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health is recommending the swimming area at Oakland Beach in Warwick be closed.

According to RIDOH, the beach water has high bacteria counts.

The department said it will continue to monitor the quality of the water through Labor Day.
