RIDOH reports 384 new cases of COVID-19, 5 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 384 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday.

Health officials said out of the 18,860 tests administered on Tuesday, the state collected a 2% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported 5 additional fatalities, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,588.

There are currently 130 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 17 of these patients are in the ICU while 14 are on a ventilator.

Since mid-December, 398,357 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 126,358 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.
