RIDOH reports 49 new coronavirus cases, two new deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 49 new coronavirus cases and two new deaths on Thursday.

These new numbers bring the state’s total cases to 151,992.

Rhode Island reported three additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 2,717.

There are currently 44 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. Data shows that 6 of these patients are in the ICU and 7 are on a ventilator.

Since mid-December, 658,418 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 564,011 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.
