RIDOH says all monkeypox vaccine appointments filled for this weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department Health said Friday night that all monkeypox vaccine appointments have been filled for the weekend.
A spokesman said that pre-registration is required and no walk-ups will be taken.

Requirements for being eligible for the vaccine are below:
· People who are identified through a case investigation as close contacts of an individual with confirmed monkeypox, and
· Rhode Island residents who:
· Are 18 years of age or older, and
· Are men who identify as gay, bisexual, queer, or who have sex with men and/or transgender individuals, and
· Have had multiple or anonymous sex partners in the past 30 days.
