RIDOT closing lanes on Washington Bridge for maintenance

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced lane closures will occur on the Washington Bridge.

RIDOT said up to two lanes will be closed on Interstate 195 Westbound from North Broadway at Exit 2 to the Gano Street off-ramp starting Monday.

The lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Dec. 2 to the morning of Dec. 6.

On Dec. 8, up to two lanes will be closed on I-195 Eastbound from Exit 1A to Exit 1D from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

RIDOT said the lanes will be closed for bridge preventative maintenance.
