PROVIDNECE, RI_ The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is addressing the pothole situation on the roadways.

The second snowiest winter in Rhode Island has badly damaged the streets and officials are now coming together to resolve the problem.

Nearly fifty to seventy crew members are in the city daily laying down close to twenty tons of patching-material. This is equivalent to over one hundred pothole patches.

RIDOT is now accepting bids for on-call pothole patching services. This allows the latest spray-injection technology to fix potholes productively and safely.

A truck mounted with this technology can easily clean away debris and fill potholes within minutes.

The traffic can return immediately once the pothole is repaired.

RIDOT is gathering a list of pathways that need immediate attention.
