RIDOT to perform Washington Bridge work throughout week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — From Monday until Thursday, drivers can expect right and center lane closures on I-195 East from exits 1A through 1C.

Rhode Island Department of Transportation crews will be working on the Washington Bridge structural health monitoring system.

The work will take place between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, Gano Street will be temporarily closed at the I-195 overpass for bridge pier demolition.

The work will happen between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on both days.
