This isn’t auditions for the next Ringling Bros circus.
This is some of the ABC6 News crew getting pie-d…for charity.
100 tickets to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be donated to charity.
And in turn, we got a lesson in pie-ing.
"I get a nice flat palm…you can go way back…and all I have to do is stop my hand and it’ll just keep going…"
When the circus comes to The Dunk at the end of April, it will be a special show. It’s the last stop for the elephants before they retire to Florida.
Aimee Hamrick was one of many that lined up for $3.14 tickets that went on sale at 3:14 Monday afternoon…but of course there were only 314 of them.
Providence Bruins players, including Captain Tommy Cross, took some time off the ice to join in on the Pi-Day fun, too…but he admits he had some hesitations.
"I think it’s gonna stick in my beard…”
Meanwhile, students at West Broadway Middle School in Providence celebrated Pi-Day for a different reason with their principal, Will Black.
"Our attendance is 93.8% so we have the highest attendance of all middle schools in Providence [so far this year…]"
His reward? A pie in the face.
"If the kids keep coming to school…they can throw anything in my face."
The circus comes to The Dunk April 28 through May 1.
