RIPTA plans special board meeting in wake of Avedisian hit-and-run charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Public Transit Authority leaders are preparing for a special board meeting Wednesday.

This comes after Governor Dan McKee called for RIPTA to review the facts around CEO Scott Avedisian’s hit-and-run case.  

Avedisian allegedly hit another car in the drive thru of the McDonald’s on Post Road in Warwick on march 27th.

He pled not guilty to those charges.  

RIPTA’s board meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
