The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is set to upgrade bus facilities and service routes in Pawtucket thanks to a multi-million dollar federal grant.
RIPTA plans to build a bus hub near a proposed commuter rail station near the central falls border.
That is expected to open by 2020.
Pawtucket mayor Donald Grebien says he wants to build a transportation center allowing easier travel to and from Pawtucket.
