RIPTA to help process bus identifications on ‘photo ID road trip’

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Public Transportation Authority is traveling across the state on a “road trip” to process reduced fare Photo I.D. bus passes for qualified seniors and individuals with disabilities.

You can meet RIPTA officials to apply for your bus pass locations listed below: 

July 11 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Woonsocket Senior Center
July 18 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – William Donovan Manor, Newport
July 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – St. Martin de Porres Senior Center, Providence

Seniors can also get their pass on August 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Leon Mathieu Center in Pawtucket from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

If you can’t make it to one of the stops, RIPTA’s office location in Kennedy Plaza is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
