RIPTA to hold final public hearings over proposed service cuts

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Public hearings over proposed RIPTA service cuts will be wrapping up Wednesday.

The final hearings are set to be held Wednesday, February 21 at the West Warwick Public Library from 12:30 – 2 p.m. & 5:30 – 7 p.m.

33 regular bus routes will be affected by the proposed changes, which include a decrease of service frequency and outright elimination of some routes.

There will be an increase in service frequency in higher performing routes.
