PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority and next Wave Rhode Island Partners are looking for public input on the proposed new Providence Transit Center.

These planned “transit talks” will be held on Monday, May 13 from 4-7 p.m. at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence.

The event is aimed at encouraging community members to share their opinions and feedback on the new center, as well their priorities of services that should be provided.

This new transit center would serve as RIPTA’s new central bus depot.

Additional sessions of public input will be held throughout the spring and summer.

A statewide survey will also be available for people not able to attend the in-person sessions.
