RIPTA to operate holiday schedule on October 14 in honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) plans to run a Sunday/holiday schedule on Monday, October 14 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

All RIPTA offices will be closed with the exception of the Newport Transportation Center.

Flex Services will be unavailable on October 14 with the exception of Route 203 (URI/Narragansett/ South Kingstown).

This route will run on the Sunday schedule from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The RIde program will also operate on the holiday schedule.
