RIPTA to run holiday schedule for Columbus Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority said it will run a Sunday/Holiday service schedule on Monday, Oct. 9 in honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Columbus Day.

RIPTA said all of its offices except the Newport Transportation Center on Monday.

In addition, Flex Services will only be available for Route 203 (URI/Narragansett/ South Kingstown), which will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

People participating in the RIde Paratransit Program who will need a ride on Monday will need to call the reservation line before the holiday at 401-461-9760.
