RISP Deputy Superintendent announces retirement

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) -Lt. Col. Kevin Barry, the second in command for Rhode Island State Police announced his retirement.

Barry’s retirement comes after 27 years of serving in law enforcement.

Lt. Col. Barry is a former Patrol/Narcotics Canine Handler and an Elected Officer in R.I Troopers Association for over a decade.

He is also a graduate of the 239th Session of the FBI National Academy.

His final day with the department is not known at this time.
