RITBA considering restricting access to bridges due to strong winds

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) – Several bridges across Rhode Island may have restricted access this evening due to strong winds from tonight’s storm.

The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority (RITBA) says it is anticipating a potential need to restrict access to some or all of its bridges late tonight and into tomorrow morning due to high winds.

Officials say updates on bridge conditions and closures will be posted on ritba.org.
