Road closed in Lincoln after water main break

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — A water main broke Tuesday night, forcing the closure of a residential street.

According to police on the scene, the main broke on the stretch of Old River Road between Mussey Brook Road and Manville Avenue in Lincoln. Officials said the road is impassable.

Police had the stretch of road blocked off and crews arrived to begin repairing the break around 10:50 p.m.

No further information was immediately released.
