Road in Bristol temporarily closed due to boat crash

BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — The Bristol Police Department said that Metacom Avenue at Michael Drive was temporarily closed Wednesday afternoon due to a motor vehicle crash that involved a boat trailer.

Pictures posted on social media by the department showed a boat had fallen off the trailer and onto the roadway.


The closure was on the northbound side, and the road was reopened by 3 p.m.
